Customer Notice: Derailment Port of Felixstowe

At approximately 21:00 on Tuesday, 18th June, a freight train scheduled to arrive at the Port of Felixstowe derailed while entering the terminal infrastructure. Fortunately, there are no reported injuries or risks to life.

There have already been reports of significant damage to the track, however, a full assessment and timeline has not been issued as the recovery of all wagons and containers continues.

Operations on the South Rail Terminal (SRT) continue as planned, and alternative access to the Central Rail Terminal (CRT) is being assessed.

Access to all other areas of the container terminal remains unaffected, with shipping and haulage operations continuing as normal.

It is unlikely that any rail operations can take place on the North Rail Terminal (NRT) for the remainder of this week. We are anticipating delays to both import and export customers.

We apologise for the disruption to your planned rail movements. Further updates will be provided as soon as possible.

We encourage our customers to reach out to us directly should they have any concerns.

Many thanks,

DKT Allseas Team
